A New York native with a passion for storytelling, Patricia Horwell has spent the past 25 years chronicling the life, culture and character of Sarasota and environs through both words and images. An award-winning journalist, Patricia’s work has been recognized with multiple honors in both Florida and New York. Her career includes editorial roles at leading newspapers on Long Island and Florida’s west coast, where her sharp insight and compelling style earned her a devoted readership. Beyond journalism, Patricia brings extensive experience in marketing and public relations, having worked across both nonprofit and for-profit sectors. She has served on advisory committees for the area tourist board offering strategic guidance in tourism marketing and public relations. Her services include editing, pitching story ideas to the media, press releases, content creation, blogging, publicizing and coordinating events, designing brochures and other print collateral, and photography.
